Hey friend. How is life?
Are you tired? Excited? Motivated, unmotivated? Full of love for your children, needing time to yourself, or both? I want to hear about your passions, goals and dreams so that I can help you achieve them. Life is multi-faceted and so are you. This blog is a place for you to rest and grow. I hope every time you visit you find both inspiration and challenge, that you are filled up and ready to pour out in a new way. I believe in you, this site is for you. That’s why I don’t show ads, and haven’t figured out yet how I might monetize.
My goal right now is to make some big changes in my life, and help you do the same. I want us to discover our values, identify our motivations, learn our uniqueness, and then find how that fits with our husband’s uniqueness so that we can set goals that truly resonate with our family’s purpose, that will bring us closer to the life we want to be living.
A lot of amazing material has been written about big ideas for maximizing life, goals, productivity. We’ve learned a ton through science and experience, but most of this information has been aimed at the corporate world. I want to apply these ideas to motherhood. Because we matter, you matter. And you deserve the best knowledge we’ve found about how to live life well. Get ready to be challenged, to grow, and to find the idea that will unlock the change you need in your life.
I believe that you are unique and even the best advice isn’t always the best for you until you understand yourself and can filter incoming information and know what is right for you. So I always like to start by talking about uniqueness, personality, gifting, and some tools and exercises that will help you understand you so that you know where you’re coming from.
There are three exercises I want you to do that will help you build a foundation for growth and change in your life, and for following along on my blog. These are value discovery, identifying your motivational type, and listing your dreams. Each of these will be a rough draft and a work in progress. But engaging the concepts and doing the activity will you get in the right frame of mind to filter what I share here and to start thinking about some big ideas and what taking action on them might mean for you, and for your family.
Here is a sample of posts to give you an idea of the content I focus on in this blog. I like to review and experiment with ideas and products and especially books and challenges, and then write about my results and what I learned. You can also check out my tag cloud in the sidebar (or scroll down on your phone).
I post on Wednesdays and Fridays, and send out my weekly newsletter, ‘Catch your breath’ on Thursdays.
